Free driving refresher sessions for older drivers

The last few places are still available for a free driving refresher session for older drivers, being held at Heywood Civic Centre on Tuesday, with future sessions being planned.

Stuart Howarth from Rochdale Borough Council’s Impact Partnership said: “Drivers who passed their test some years ago have probably noticed that the roads have changed a bit. This is a chance for mature drivers to refresh their skills and get some expert advice from our Road Safety Team and the Institute of Advanced Motorists.”

The event is free and includes a presentation and a personal driving assessment, tailored to the driver’s specific needs. The event takes place at Heywood Civic Centre, Church Street, between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM on Tuesday 4 October and further sessions are being planned for the future.
